Listen up, Justin Bieber fans, because the “Baby” singer has something to tell you about his relationship withWizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez—and you’ll need all of your powers of deduction to decipher what he has to say.
Bieber, 16, phoned in to Ryan Seacrest‘s KIIS-FM radio show this morning to discuss, among other things, his recent movie date with Gomez, 18. Asked by Seacrest what he should tell his listeners about his relationship with SelGo, Bieber cryptically offered,
“Just tell them that she’s one of my best friends.”
A safe, scandal-free assertion, to be sure. But things got interesting when Seacrest dug a bit deeper and asked what movie they took in together. According to Bieber,
“We saw No Strings Attached.”
No Strings Attached, of course, is the recently released romantic comedy featuring Natalie Portman andAshton Kutcher as two friends who attempt to keep their sexual relationship strictly physical.
Hmm; who wouldn’t want to be a fly on the wall for Justin and Selena’s post-movie conversation?
And, perhaps an even bigger question: Since No Strings Attached is Rated R, does that mean that Gomez served as J-Biebs’ adult guardian for the film as well as his date?
Bieber and Gomez’s relationship has been a matter of speculation for some months now—especially after the two were spotted dining together at an International House of Pancakes late last year. (Alas, an earlier report that Beiber ad been sitting on Gomez’s lap at singer Jessica Jarrell‘s birthday party was debunked to Celebuzz by Jarrell herself.)
