Justin Bieber posed for the cover of Vanity Fair‘s February issue, exposing his chest and his love for one of music’s biggest icons in what Bieber called “probably one of the most intense interviews [he's] ever done.”
“Check out my six-pack,” said the pop star, who loosened his button-up, baring his mid riff in homage to a photo shoot done by one of his heroes. “I want to be like Michael [Jackson]!” Bieber explained. Michael was featured in the magazine’s September 2009 issue in similar fashion.
If Bieber’s interview was intense, his fans were frenzied. The young girls cast as extras on the shoot couldn’t hide their infatuation for the teen crooner. “What do I love about Justin? Everything!” said one model.
In 2010, Bieber was the internet’s seventh most searched for celebrity.
Vanity Fair‘s February issue will be available in Los Angeles and New York on January 6 and hits newsstands nationwide on January 11.
