Donny and Marie Osmond Talk Justin

What’s your advice to today’s young stars like Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift?

D: It’s a bumpy rollercoaster ride. Hang in there buddy because if you can just maintain your integrity with your music and who you are, you can ride that rollercoaster and not get bruised. Don’t take anything for granted.

M: Keep working and keep reinventing yourself and have your passion. I’ve always said if you’re not nervous before you go on stage to do a good job, than you shouldn’t be going on stage. And take care of your instrument. People joke and call us wholesome, but I’ve watched many of my peers lose their talents and overdose and die and get so out of it that they couldn’t even perform anymore. Be grateful for the gift you’ve been given.

Concert Tickets Auctioned by Cadillac

We’re not sure what exactly the connection between the usual Cadillac buyer and the average Justin Bieber fan is, but somehow these two icons of their respective business have come together for a noble.

Cadillac announced over the weekend that it had decided to auction what it called a Justin Bieber prize package, to benefit the Cure Duchenne nonprofit. Starting April 25, and until May 1, those willing can place their bids at the following link and hope to win. The campaign will also be advertised on Clear Channel and Sirius/XM.

The prize package includes a trip for two at Bieber concerts at select locations or a copy of Bieber’s new album, “Never Say Never – The Remixes.”

The decision Cadillac made to raise some money using Bieber is just another step the manufacturer is making to help fund Duchenne research or, at least, help ease the suffering of those affected. The genetic muscle disease affects 20,000 boys and young men in the United States, and it’s evolution is unforgiving: those affected are diagnosed by the age of 5, in a wheelchair by age 12, and may be completely paralyzed by their late teens. Most of them do not live to see adulthood.

“Cadillac has been impressed with Cure Duchenne’s relentless efforts to seek new and innovative ways to treat and ultimately cure this devastating muscle disease,” said Don Butler, vice president of Cadillac marketing. “After helping shine the spotlight on Duchenne during the football season, we began looking for other opportunities to help this worthy cause.” -autoevolution.com

Bieber fever hits Brisbane

A 15-year-old girl is screaming with tears flowing down her cheeks.

Her friends crowd around her jumping up and down outside Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre at Boondall on Tuesday night. They’re there for Justin Bieber’s first Australian concert and the crying girl, Casey Jewell, of Brisbane, is already going hysterical before the concert has even begun.

I soon realise what the commotion is about. She’s managed to scalp a ticket for only $50.

‘I’ve been here since 2pm trying to get a ticket,’ she tells me.

‘I’ll be sitting by myself but I don’t care.’

Everywhere I turn there’s a group of ecstatic pre-teen and teenage girls with parents standing not far behind.

I asked more than a dozen girls to explain the Bieber fever.

‘He’s so hot,’ and ‘he’s very talented,’ is what most said. Trent Bell, 20, and brother Jonathan, of Townsville, are among the few boys there. Jonathan has grown and styled his hair to look like Bieber’s.

Trent, who’s an aspiring performer who was a finalist on the talent scout TV show the X Factor, says he enjoys Bieber’s music.

‘I think he has a lot of talent,’ he says.

During the concert I searched hard to see what talent he was talking about.

Sure, he can play the drums well in the brief display he put on during the show.

I’m sure he has a really good voice but most of the time it was altered to give a techno sound.

His dancing was well choreographed but it was nothing compared to the powerful performance his back-up dancers gave.

His back-up singers helped break up the night when they took centre stage to perform a medley of Bieber’s songs.

Their beatboxing and pure vocal talent showed Bieber up.

I even found his audience interaction too staged and corny.

But it works for teenage girls.

‘I was wondering how many single ladies are in the audience?’ Bieber inquires.

‘How many of you feel lonely because I happen to be looking for one last lonely girl.’ The girls’ screams reach fever pitch.

A blonde teen in a purple shirt, the envy of most there, is plucked from the audience to sit up on stage and have Bieber sing One Last Lonely Girl to her. She’ll never forget this night. – Skynews

The 17-year-old was spotted as he touched down at the airport, and was looking casual and comfy in a black tee, sweats and baseball hat.

After spending the last few weeks in Asia and it’s surrounding areas, JB will be spending his time down unda for the next couple of weeks.

Sounds like fun!

Mark Wahlberg and Justin Bieber Are Making a Movie Together!!

Mark Wahlberg and Justin Bieber Are Making a Movie Together

Mark Wahlberg is on the record as being a Justin Bieber fan. Back in August, he said , “The world needs Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber is like the white Tupac. Compared to a lot of people.” In fact, Wahlberg is such a big fan, he told us at last night’s Time 100 Gala, that he and the Bieb are going to be making a movie together. (Wahlberg also told us the film David O. Russell wanted to cast Britney in.) We spoke with Wahlberg about Bieber, the plot of their movie, and whether or not they’ll be duetting. (Spoiler: It’s not good news for fans of the Funky Bunch.)

So David O. Russell told us he wanted to cast Britney Spears in a movie. Would you join that project?

He’s wanted to work with Britney Spears for a very long time. He wanted to, at one point, thought about casting her in the role that originally went to Naomi Watts in I Heart Huckabees. Yeah, so he’s been…a firm believer in her for a long time and I think she’s talented. David and I are talking about doing three different projects together. Maybe he’ll want her in one of those, whatever he wants to do. He trusted me in whoever I wanted to cast in The Fighter, so why not?

And is there somebody, sort of unexpected, that you want to work with?

Yeah, Justin Bieber and I are going to do a movie together …

Is that actually true?

Well, we’re putting it together. Yeah. We’re doing it at Paramount. We pitched them the idea and, you know, we’re talking about doing it. He loves the idea. He’s been sending me video, he sent me a video of himself, and, yeah, I think he’s really talented.

Can you tell me more?

No, we’re going to do something interesting.

Like a drama or a comedy?

More of a drama. It’s interesting, right? You want to know. They’ll probably announce it. They may announce it fairly soon … kind of like a reluctant mentor in an inner-city environment. You know, I don’t want to say.

Will you sing and dance?

No, I will not and neither will he.

But you could? You could throw it down.

If I had to, but I’ve, you know, that’s the last resort. I’ve worked really hard to get away from that whole thing, but you never know. I may just end up coming back full circle.

But you’ve still got the movies?

Only for my kids and my wife.

Justin Bieber could be a Logies guest alongside Katy Perry!!

GET the ear plugs ready and prepare for screaming girls – Justin Bieber could be dropping in on the Logies after all.

Organisers are leaving the door open for the teen sensation to sign up at the 11th hour for TV’s night of back-slapping.

Bieber is touring Oz and will be in town on Sunday, ahead of his Melbourne concerts on May 2 and 3.

Yesterday, Logies party organiser David Grant hinted Bieber could perform at the event alongside Jessie J and Katy Perry.

“And this year, with Justin Bieber performing, he’ll …” he said before changing the subject.

A line had been ruled through Bieber’s name but, when asked if he might now attend, Grant said: “Well, we’ve been talking about him for a long time.

“You know he just arrived yesterday, so once he sees how big (The Logies) is, who knows?”

Bieber’s tour Down Under has had a rocky start.

Problems with his private jet meant the heartthrob had to make an impromptu stop in Bali, and he has also hurt his back.

“Back is in ALOT of pain but incredible show tonight. BRISBANE was #BEAST — Australia is about to be a party the next 2 weeks,” Bieber tweeted.

Justin Auction To Benefit Muscle Disease Awareness And Research

(RTTNews) - Cadillac and Sony Music have put together a Justin Bieber-themed prize package to be auctioned off. The proceeds will go to Cure Duchenne, a research group seeking a cure for the muscle disease Duchenne, which is the most common muscle disease in children.

Fans can bid on a trip to see the Bieb live in concert along with a copy of his latest LP, Never Say Never: The Remixes.

According to a press release, Duchenne affects 20,000 boys in the U.S. alone. Most become paralyzed by their late teens and many do not live into adulthood. Cadillac has been a big supporter of efforts to find a cure, says Cure Duchenne advocate Mindy Cameron.

“Once again, Cadillac’s marketing team has come up with a unique way to massively increase public awareness about Duchenne . . . Cure Duchenne is honored and thankful for Cadillac’s continued support in the battle to find treatments and cures for this devastating condition.”

The auction runs through May 1.

Justin Bieber To Release New Album In 2011

Justin Bieber is busy touring around the world right now, but he’s also currently working on material for his brand new album, due out this year, he says.

“Been writing alot of songs on the road,” he wrote on his Facebook page. “Excited to just get this music out later this year and record this summer. #BELIEVE #newmusic.”

That’s right, Beliebers. Justin has broken plenty of records in the last two years with ‘My World’ and ‘My World 2.0,’ and now he’s ready to raise the bar with his third solo album of fresh tunes.

Among others, Justin has been working on new songs with producer/songwriter Sean Garrett, who told Billboard that the 17-year-old’s forthcoming album would have an older sound.

“What we’re trying to do with Justin is to segue him into young adulthood,” he said. “The one great thing about Justin Bieber is the fact that his fans are going to grow with him. So we want all the fans that started out with him to still be intrigued and excited about him, but we want to also stretch out a little bit and make the fans that are 22-23 years old love Justin as well. When Justin Timberlake went from the last album of *N Sync to his first solo album — I want to say [we're aiming for] that level. That’s the bar for the type of song, that level of ‘Cry Me a River,’ big records.”

In 2011, Justin became the first artist in nearly two decades to have four albums inside the Top 40 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. This includes his first two albums, as well as ‘My Words Acoustic’ and ‘Never Say Never: The Remixes.’

Are you excited to hear new music from the Bieb? He’s dabbled in pop, R&B, rap and even country… What kind of songs do you want to hear on the record? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Justin Breakout Star At Time 100 Gala

Although names like Bruno Mars and Oprah Winfrey made the final cut on this year’s Time 100 list of the world’s most-influential people, among the celebs MTV News spoke to at the ritzy black-tie gala in New York on Tuesday night, all the talk was about Justin Bieber and “Parks and Recreation” funny lady Amy Poehler.

La La Vazquez, with hubby Carmelo Anthony, by her side, said, “Justin Bieber actually loves ‘Melo. They’re still waiting to have a one-on-one basketball competition so maybe we can make that happen this summer.” She continued, “I think it’s an honor to be included in such an elite group and be invited to come celebrate. When I heard we got invited, I was like, ‘Oh yes, we are going to this event tonight.’ ”

The Roots’ drummer, Questlove, said he totally understands why the Biebs made the list. “I’m excited to see everybody tonight,” he said. “I’m very humble to be here. It’s too many to mention. I drummed with Bieber before. I think that there might have been a question to why he was included, but it’s obvious this is a person that went from YouTube sensation to viral sensation to international superstar — that’s gonna be the next level of celebrity.”

Leave it to Poehler’s “Parks and Rec” co-star Aziz Ansari to write in his own candidate. Asked whether he prefers Bieber or South Korean pop star turned actor Rain, who also made the list, Ansari joked, “I don’t know who either of those people are.” Adding, “The most influential person to me is probably Waka Flocka Flame. He’s on the list, right? I’m pretty sure he was on there.”

All jokes aside, Ansari had only love for Poehler. calling her a “very inspirational person; tremendously talented and really a leader in her field.”

Poehler’s former “Saturday Night Live” co-star Seth Meyers also had tons of love for her. “For me personally, Amy Poehler’s the most influential on the list,” he said. “I certainly wouldn’t be invited to this without Amy Poehler, so that’s a big step. Mostly just like providing coattails for me to ride on for years,” he joked. “That’s pretty key; that influenced me a lot.”

About Bieber, Meyers later added: “I quote him a lot. I say ‘Baby, baby, baby’ a lot more than I used to. I work in a maternity ward in my off-time.”

What Does It Take To Be Justin Bieber’s Hairstylist?

From movie sets to tour buses, stylist Vanessa Price creates megastar signature looks–including Justin Bieber’s signature swooping bangs.

“It feels like silk,” stylist Vanessa Price says of the hair that makes millions of girls weak in their American Eagle–clad knees. Two years ago, the music industry vet (clients include the Foo Fighters, Morrissey, Zooey Deschanel, and Jenny Lewis) took her scissors to the mullety hair of a certain then 15-year-old YouTube phenom, snipping it into the side-swept glory known worldwide as Bieber Bangs (may they R.I.P.). Today, Price and Justin Bieber are inseparable: “You’re the only one who’s allowed to cut my hair,” Bieber told Price. A week before his seventeenth birthday, Bieber was ready for a change, so Price pulled out her shears. “Teenage angst,” explains Price, who chopped the bangs “to death,” revealing not just a new look “suitable for a young man instead of a teenage boy,” but also unveiling his forehead. “The world had never seen it before!” The pop princeling also relies upon Price’s makeup skills to cover the occasional zit. (“He’s a teenager, he works hard—of course he gets breakouts,” she says.)

Justin’s coif never seems out of place. What’s your trick?

It’s all about the cut. Don’t fight the direction your hair grows. For side bangs, you need a cut that gradually goes from longer to shorter, but not drastically. Then it’s about the blow-dry. Justin’s hair is fine, so I don’t use a brush, just my hands. Thicker hair needs a brush to guide it into place.

On his days off from performing, does Justin style his own hair?

Yes. He loves his hair; he’s very proud of it. He pays insanely close attention to detail, so he knows how to make it look good. It’s not that he’s vain—he just gets it.

You’ve done Zooey’s makeup on movie sets, for live performances, and for red-carpet events. How do you change up her look?

When she’s on the red carpet or performing live, I get to use a more creative palette. We experiment with false lashes, use liquid eyeliner to create a stronger cat eye, and play up a red lip. I also like adding glitter and gloss to the eyelid; it catches the light and makes eyes look really bright. Movie set makeup is more technical. For long shoots, primer is really important. It helps makeup melt into the skin. I’m a fan of the “no-makeup” makeup look—I don’t like seeing foundation on the skin. I mix concealer with a little bit of highlighter, such as Benefit Eye Bright, and apply it to the inside corner of the eyes and down the bridge of the nose. It looks fresh and glowy but not shiny.

You seem to have mastered the no-makeup makeup look with Justin.

I just use a little concealer and powder. Justin naturally has beautiful, long lashes, so we don’t need to use any mascara—he’s genetically blessed with great hair.

Late-night shows and early-morning after-parties make for little sleep. What’s your advice for keeping skin looking its best?

The number-one thing I promote is hydration, inside and out. I recommend my clients drink coconut water; it’s filled with electrolytes but not sugar. I also love face oils. They are ultramoisturizing and, although scary to some people, won’t clog your pores. Use oil at night and a light moisturizer in the morning. When your skin looks great, you’ll need less makeup.

Bieber’s movie with Wahlberg – basketball movie?

Justin Bieber is set to star in a street basketball movie alongside Mark Wahlberg.

The drama would be Bieber’s first non-musical leading role.

Wahlberg recently revealed that he and Bieber were planning a movie together, and while he was reluctant to confirm details, a new Deadline report describes the project as a gritty basketball-based drama with a “The Color of Money meets The Karate Kid” tone.

Bieber reportedly impressed Wahlberg with his hoops skills during his MVP performance at the celebrity game over NBA All-Star Weekend.

The still untitled film is expected to be announced shortly.

Wahlberg is coming off the Oscar-winning success of The Fighter, while Bieber’s documentary Never Say Never did enormous business at the box office.

Justin writing new album on tour

(BANG) -Justin Bieber is writing his new album while on tour. The teen singing sensation – who is currently on his ‘My World Tour’ – has revealed, despite having to travel the globe, he has still found the time to lay down tracks for his next record and is “excited” about giving fans the opportunity to hear his new music this summer.

Writing on his twitter page, he said: “been writing alot of songs on the road. excited to just get this music out later this year and record this summer. (sic)”

As well as writing new songs, the 17-year-old ‘Baby’ hitmaker – who had a guest role on crime show ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ earlier this year – admitted he has caught the acting bug and “definitely” wants another role in front of the camera.

He recently explained: “I definitely want to do more acting, and further my career in that area, that’s something I would love to do.”

However, although he wants to branch out in his career, Justin is still concentrating on his music and hopes to secure some new collaborations in the future.

He said: “I would love to perform with Stevie Wonder or Beyonce Knowles.”

Justin Bieber Sings Part Of Selena’s “Who Says” Onstage For Fans!

Selena and Justin got to spend some quality time with each other last week during Justin’s tour in Asia after being apart for weeks! The last time the two were spotted together out in public was for Justin’s birthday. Selena flew out to see her superstar boyfriend during his show in Malaysia. How sweet is that?!?

Justin recently hit the stage in Bogor, Indonesia and was in quite the jokey mood! Before performing his mega-hit “Baby,” the popstar teased the crowd with other songs like Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time,” AND Selena Gomez’s “Who Says!” The crowd was clearly upset at first when they didn’t think Justin would perform “Baby,” but when he started to recite the chorus from his girlfriend’s single, they went wild! Afterwards, Justin eased their worries and performed his song. If you want to see how it went down for yourself, click here for a fan’s video.

Do you think Justin sounded great singing “Who Says?” We wonder if Selena will sing any of his songs during her tour!
