Justin Auction To Benefit Muscle Disease Awareness And Research

(RTTNews) - Cadillac and Sony Music have put together a Justin Bieber-themed prize package to be auctioned off. The proceeds will go to Cure Duchenne, a research group seeking a cure for the muscle disease Duchenne, which is the most common muscle disease in children.

Fans can bid on a trip to see the Bieb live in concert along with a copy of his latest LP, Never Say Never: The Remixes.

According to a press release, Duchenne affects 20,000 boys in the U.S. alone. Most become paralyzed by their late teens and many do not live into adulthood. Cadillac has been a big supporter of efforts to find a cure, says Cure Duchenne advocate Mindy Cameron.

“Once again, Cadillac’s marketing team has come up with a unique way to massively increase public awareness about Duchenne . . . Cure Duchenne is honored and thankful for Cadillac’s continued support in the battle to find treatments and cures for this devastating condition.”

The auction runs through May 1.
